Johnn’s career blends extensive public service with private legal practice, giving him a broad perspective that benefits every client. From 2010 to 2021, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in New Mexico, prosecuting a wide range of cases and gaining deep insight into the state’s justice system. He advanced to leadership roles including Chief Deputy and Deputy District Attorney, where he helped implement programs focused on treatment, diversion, and second chances guided by his belief in community-centered approaches to justice.
Johnn is deeply engaged in the New Mexico legal community. He currently serves as Chair of the New Mexico Bar Association Historical Committee, and the New Mexico Cannabis Law Section. In the past, he was involved with the Bar Ethics Committee, the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the New Mexico District Attorney’s Association. These roles underscore his commitment to integrity, professional development, and strengthening legal advocacy across New Mexico.
Outside of work, Johnn is passionate about New Mexico’s rich history. He enjoys fly fishing in the state’s picturesque mountains, camping with friends and family, and exploring the rugged beauty of the Gila Wilderness.
